Case Study

Breathwave, now faster and more accessible than ever

We built Breathwave's website in 2023 and have kept improving it since. This April, we re-optimized for speed and accessibility, with measurable gains across the board.

Near-instant load times

The homepage now loads in roughly one second on mobile, down from close to twenty. Visitors arriving from a Google search or an Instagram link see the content almost immediately.

Familiar design preserved

The visual design stayed intact. Returning visitors see the Breathwave they already know, with every improvement delivered through the underlying structure and hosting.

Friendlier to all visitors

The site is now easier to use with a screen reader or keyboard. Accessibility improvements were measured independently through AccessibilityChecker.org and Google's Lighthouse audit.

New hosting foundation

The site was rebuilt on a new hosting setup chosen for reliability and speed. Fewer moving parts means fewer things that can slow the site down or need maintenance attention over time.

Easier for Google to find

A cleaner page structure and faster response times make it easier for search engines to crawl and index Breathwave's content, supporting stronger organic visibility over time.

How it started — 2023

Rebuilding the website from the ground up

Breathwave first came to us on a basic Wix site that was holding their reach back. Known for promoting holistic health through breath-focused practices, they needed a home online that could match the seriousness of the work — faster, more flexible, and ready for a growing audience.

Platform transition

We moved the site off Wix onto a more robust, scalable platform — unlocking real performance, cleaner SEO, and room to grow that the old setup couldn't support.

SEO foundation

We implemented the technical SEO best practices the old platform had been quietly blocking, so search engines could actually find and rank Breathwave's content.

Serene, intuitive design

An aesthetic refresh aligned the site with Breathwave's calm, grounded brand — and intuitive navigation made it easier for first-time visitors to find their way.

Fully responsive

The rebuild was responsive from day one, so the experience held up equally well on phones, tablets, and desktops.

About the work

A three-year partnership, continuing to improve

We built and optimized Breathwave's website in 2023, and have continued to improve it since. This April, we returned to the site and re-optimized it to make it as sustainable and accessible as we could, moving it to a new hosting setup and tightening the structure underneath the design. The gains on this page reflect that latest round of work, on top of everything that came before it.
