About Gabriel Dalton
Gabriel Dalton is a digital sustainability advocate and the founder of Oasis of Change, a nonprofit focused on reducing the environmental impact of the internet. After teaching himself to code at the age of 10, he began exploring how websites and digital infrastructure affect energy consumption, carbon emissions, and global resource use.
Through Oasis of Change, Gabriel works with nonprofits, organizations, and businesses to build energy-efficient websites and promote sustainable digital practices. His work focuses on optimizing websites to dramatically reduce their carbon footprint while improving accessibility, speed, and performance.
Gabriel’s work has contributed to environmental initiatives around the world, including planting thousands of trees across multiple countries and supporting projects that prevent plastic pollution from entering the ocean. His work demonstrates how technology can be used as a tool for climate solutions.
In recognition of his work advancing sustainable technology and environmental impact, Gabriel received the Youth Impact & Innovation Award at the 2025 Vancouver Awards.
