VANCOUVER, British Columbia — October 20, 2025
Oasis of Change today announced the launch of Sustainable Technology Week, a public initiative dedicated to raising awareness and driving practical action on digital sustainability, ethical technology, and climate-conscious innovation.
The week was established through an official proclamation by the City of Vancouver, recognizing October 20 to 27, 2025 as Sustainable Technology Week and underscoring the importance of responsible digital infrastructure in the transition to a lower-carbon economy.
Programming centres on education, public conversations, and partner events exploring the environmental cost of digital systems and the practical steps organizations can take to reduce it.

The initiative complements Oasis of Change’s ongoing work with nonprofits, community organizations, and municipal partners to lower the carbon footprint of websites, digital services, and end-of-life hardware.
Sustainable Technology Week is designed to recur annually, building a long-term platform for public education and partner collaboration around responsible technology.
